As a distinguished Internal Medicine physician, Dr. Shoshana Bacon also serves as Director of the Department of Internal Medicine at CHEMED. She specializes in managing complex medical cases across all age groups, bringing a comprehensive, multifaceted approach to her individualized care. An adept team leader, she inspires her staff to achieve successful outcomes while collaborating with other departments and upgrading standards. With a strong interest in psychiatry and mental health, Dr. Bacon effectively integrates physical health and mental well-being in her practice. A staunch proponent of managing obesity and related disorders, Dr. Bacon employs evidence-based strategies to help patients attain sustainable lifestyle changes.
Dr. Bacon graduated cum laude from Technion Medical Center in Haifa, where she laid the foundation for her stellar medical career. She completed her residency at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, gaining invaluable experience in treating a diverse patient population. Prior to pursuing her medical career, Dr. Bacon was a NYC Teaching Fellow, obtaining a Master's degree in Education while teaching high school science within the New York City Board of Education. This educational background has deeply influenced her approach to patient care, as she is passionate about educating her patients. Always at the forefront of cutting-edge care, Dr. Bacon researches and incorporates the latest advances in her field. She devotes time to thoroughly clarify medical conditions, treatment options, and preventative measures, in order to alleviate patient anxiety and provide an encouraging support system. Dr. Jacob (Yakov) Scutaru MD is one of our new physicians. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. He attended medical school at the Technion in Israel and completed his residency at SBH in The Bronx and went on to complete a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the University of Rochester. Prior to CHEMED, he was the Medical Director of Infectious Diseases at Trillium Health in Rochester.
At CHEMED, Dr. Scutaru provides both primary care and outpatient ID consultations.

Dr. Schwarzbaum is triple-board certified in emergency medicine, emergency medical services, and addiction medicine. He is also the newly appointed medical director of Hatzolah of Central Jersey. Dr. Schwarzbaum brings many years of expertise, knowledge, skill, and deep intelligence to his work and is renowned for his compassionate care and holistic, whole-body approach to medicine.

Dr. Chaim Kaweblum, Pediatric Medical Director and long-time Lakewood resident, is a graduate of UMDNJ. Dr. Kaweblum completed his residency at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, where he worked in the Neonatal ICU for 5 years and the Pediatric Emergency Room for nearly 20 years. He is fluent in Hebrew, English and Spanish, and understands Yiddish.

Dr. Golub has been one of the leading pediatricians caring for Lakewood's children for more than two decades. His compassionate nature, dedication and personalized care have earned him a reputation as a trusted and beloved pediatrician. Dr. Golub goes above and beyond to ensure the well-being and healthy development of each child under his care.

Dr. Kinney has been Board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology since 2001. An experienced OB-GYN, Medical Director and Professor, Dr. Kinney is an exemplary choice as CHEMED's Director of Women's Health. In her previous roles as Medical Director, Dr. Kinney was accountable for all clinical activity, improved access to care, workflow and patient satisfaction, at multiple sites. Among her many accomplishments, Dr. Kinney is a member of the UNOS VCA National Committee which develops standards for Vascularized Composite Allografts. She has taught extensively in the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, was Director of the Division of General OB/GYN, Director of the Colposcopy Clinic, Medical Director for the Nurse Midwifery service, and was on the medical advisory board of the Every Women Matters program for the State of Nebraska (cervical subgroup), amongst many other roles. Dr. Kinney received her undergraduate degree in Anthropology from Harvard University and her Doctor of Medicine from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Dr. Harold Weiss, MD is a distinguished dermatologist who earned his medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical School, followed by a residency in internal medicine at Brookdale Hospital. He then specialized in dermatology, completing his residency at Cornell University - New York Hospital. Dr. Weiss is board-certified in dermatology and dermatological surgery and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.

Tal Weinberger, MD is Director of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at CHEMED Health Center in Lakewood, NJ. She came to CHEMED from her previous role of Clinical Associate Professor and Outpatient Medical Director for the Department of Psychiatry at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA, where she also maintained a secondary faculty appointment in the department of OB/GYN. Dr. Weinberger completed her undergraduate studies cum laude at Yale University and attended medical school at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. She completed her psychiatry residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and a fellowship in cognitive behavioral therapy at the Center for Cognitive Therapy at the University of Pennsylvania. She volunteers as a consultant for the perinatal psychiatry consultation line for Postpartum Support International, providing consultation to providers about clinical questions in perinatal psychopharmacology. She lectures and has several publications within the field of women's mental health.
